Text: Live-in or live-out primary trained governess is required


Family moving to Woking, Surrey is looking for a governess for their 9 years old daughter.
This work means live-in full-time occupation in family’s house. Main daily working time is from
2 pm to 8 pm six days a week. Sunday is a day off.

The child needs to start with homeschooling from September and a governess may be expected to start earlier to prepare for academic year and move in (in case of live in). In addition to general child upbringing we expect our candidates to be primary trained to guide child’s daily homeschooling schedule. We expect the governess to teach at least one of subjects for Y5-Y7 (Key Stage 2): English, Maths, Science, Art, Computing, D&T or Physical Education/Sports as well as to help with homework. Upbringing in our understanding includes developing leadership, interests and hobbies, outdoor activities, going to sports and spending time together.

Your responsibilities also include character building and organizing leisure for a child. For example you will walk in the park, talk about good manners and proper behavior. In addition, you will regularly go to the cinema, theater, museum with a child and attend various children's sections together. It is worth noting that there will be a necessity to work on weekends but not always.

Our requirements include: QTS, preferably primary trained or PGCE, governess experience of 1-3 years, and a recent DBS check. Driving licence is a bonus, but not required.
